Terms of Use & Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

1. Nature of the Service & Capability-Based Access

Collaborative Checklists is an account-free, link-based productivity tool that allows creators and collaborators to manage tasks, checklists, and automated reminders without creating passwords or registering user identities.

Security Notice on Shared Links: Access to checklists is granted via cryptographic capability URLs. Anyone possessing a valid Editor Link possesses full authorization to view, create, edit, and delete tasks within that checklist. You acknowledge that anyone you transmit an editor link to may share it further. Creators may revoke or rotate the Editor Link at any time through their private Management Link.

2. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Send unsolicited, spam, or bulk commercial messages via Brevo Email or Twilio SMS integrations.
• Transmit abusive, defamatory, harassing, obscene, fraudulent, or unlawful task content or notifications.
• Harvest, scrape, or collect contact information (emails or phone numbers) without explicit recipient permission.
• Impersonate any individual, organization, or entity through self-reported collaborator names.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or launch denial-of-service attacks against the application infrastructure or third-party edge networks.
• Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international communications laws, including the CAN-SPAM Act, TCPA, and GDPR.

3. Third-Party API Integrations (Brevo & Twilio)

The Service provides connectivity adapters allowing checklist creators to link their own third-party provider accounts (Brevo for transactional emails, Twilio for SMS notifications).

Creator Responsibility: You are solely responsible for all activity conducted through your supplied API keys, including third-party carrier charges, compliance with Twilio A2P 10DLC messaging requirements, Brevo sender domain verifications, and recipient opt-in consent records.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that task notifications will be delivered uninterrupted, error-free, or without carrier delays. In no event shall the Service operators be liable for lost data, failed reminder alerts, or unauthorized edits resulting from lost capability links.

5. Modifications & Termination

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. Checklists found violating the Acceptable Use Policy are subject to immediate removal without prior notice.
